TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Check the Safety, Installation and Instruction (SII) manual you received with your commercial refrigerator for complete cleaning instructions.
No. All electrical connections must be direct to a dedicated / sole use 15 amp power receptacle.
Cartridge door hinges are designed for commercial use under normal operations. Hinges may however fail prematurely if forced into further than spring-back position, continuously swung open or slammed shut. To ensure the door hinge is not placed under undue stress:
- Make sure the floor where the unit is placed is level;
- Do not slam doors shut; allow them to close naturally;
- Do not force the doors open further than spring-back position;
- Do not continuously swing doors open against the spring-back position
Running a commercial refrigerated unit with no product will cause the unit to maintain cold in a lower temperature range as there is nothing in the cabinet to stabilize temperature. If your unit is empty, consider:
- Raising the cabinet temperature slightly, while maintaining a temperature below 5ºC (41ºF) – please refer to your Safety, Installation and Instruction Manual
- Maintain a product ballast, such as two or three cases of bottled water per door on the mid shelf
- If infrequently used, unplug the unit when not in use. Turn back on the night before an event
Yes. Turn the unit off when not in use, preferably by the circuit breaker, or by unplugging the unit. Be sure the plug end is kept clean and off the floor.
When repowering the unit, it should be empty. Recovery to storage temperature of an empty unit will take approximately one hour, depending on the ambient temperature. If the unit is loaded, the recovery may take longer depending on the product temperature and the ambient temperature.
Loading of the empty unit after it has reached optimum temperature is preferred, as the unit will have a head start on recovery and will pull-down faster.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Yes, but in doing so, you take responsibility for any damages to the unit. After set up, unit must be in an upright position for at least 4 hours before powering. Alternatively, if a Cassette® unit, the Cassette may be removed for transport and reinstalled and powered immediately upon arrival.
